Morningstar ProStar solar regulator PS30 with digital meter display

The ProStar is a highly specified controller: the 30A model is suitable for panel sizes up to 360W if running at 12V, or a mammoth 720W if running a 24V system. The controller automatically senses the system voltage and adjusts its regulation pattern accordingly.

The ProStar models have an even more sophisticated charging regime than the SunGuard and SunSaver ranges. An equalising cycle is included to bring individual cells in a battery bank to the same voltage, ensuring maximum battery capacity is maintained.

The ProStar also allows selection of different regulation voltages for gel, sealed and flooded batteries, includes a low-voltage disconnect feature as standard, and is fully protected against short-circuits, overloads, voltage spikes and even lightning!

This model includes a digital meter display that reads directly from the micro controller and provides accurate readings of voltage and current values. System status and protection conditions are displayed, and an added self-test feature displays specific conditions and faults in the unlikely event that they arise.

ProStar regulators have screw terminals that accept bare wire so no special connectors are needed. We sell high quality double-insulated cable (red and black) for making connections between the solar panel and regulators.
