A 205W polycrystalline solar panel in a slim, anodised aluminium frame, complete with a 20 year guarantee on power output, and a two-year guarantee on workmanship. This panel supercedes the KC200 module. The main difference being the construction of the KD cells, which now have a square cell format of 156 mm x 156 mm. The panel produces 5 W or 2.5% more than its predecessor, the KC200 so there's plenty of power for all those off-grid applications, but in a more compact format than the amorphous types such as Unisolar.
This solar panel has an open circuit voltage of 33.2V and is NOT SUITABLE FOR USE ON 12V SYSTEMS with standard solar controllers. However, an MPPT controller such as the SunSaver MPPT solar regulator includes a DC/DC converter and can be used on a 12v systems with these panels. Another advantage of using an MPPT controller is that it will deliver more power to your batteries than a standard controller: You can read about the advantages of this controller on the information page.
