The polycrystalline 40 Watt Panel has a built in battery charger, so you can connect straight to your battery without an external charger!
Conventional solar systems charging batteries comprise 2 separate units (solar panel and battery charger) plus the battery itself. However, although the junction box on the back of these panels looks the same as any other, it incorporates a highly temperature compensated shunt regulator that performs a dynamic PWM operation. These modules come as standard with 45cm leads terminating in waterproof connectors, but can easily be extended and we are happy to make up additional cable should you require it. The panel comes with a mating pair of connectors or, if you want a specific connector, we can replace the existing ones for you. Please email when ordering or phone us to discuss your requirements.
The new Emponi integrated model is much more compact and portable, and with fewer raw materials being used, it is also more environmentally friendly!
